As we reflect on 2025, we are grateful for the clients we were able to serve, and for the continued development of our team. The beginning of each year is a natural time for reflection, and we see evidence of this in a strong portfolio of current projects, pending projects, and new engagement proposals. 2025 provided True North the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, each client with a unique set of opportunities and challenges. Of our client projects, we would like to highlight the following projects in 2025:
The Principals of True North Strategic Advisors announced the sale of their client Systems Engineering and Sales Co. (“SESCO”), a leading supplier of power transformer installation and maintenance processing equipment, to LFM Capital. CP Energy Holdings (“CPEH”) also participated as a minority investor. Founded in 1968 and with roots extending back to the early 1900’s, SESCO designs and manufactures transformer service equipment and custom oil purification systems. This equipment allows for the safe operation of medium and high-voltage transformers across North America. SESCO is based in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Principals of True North Strategic Advisors announced the sale of their client Lift-A-Loft, LLC (“Lift-A-Loft”), a leading provider of custom engineered aerial work platforms to the transportation, logistics, and industrial markets. Holleway Capital Partners made a strategic investment in Lift-A-Loft. Holleway invested subordinated debt and equity in the transaction. In conjunction with Holleway’s investment, Todd Hunt and Jackie Duggan also invested in the Company. Lift-A-Loft is heaquartered in Muncie, IN.
Building the True North Team Josh Macy
Josh Macy joined in October as our newest Principal at True North, expanding our leadership team. Josh will be instrumental in advising clients on M&A, corporate finance and leading client management. With nearly two decades of experience in corporate strategy, business development, and operations, Josh has partnered with management teams through growth capital raises, strategic acquisitions, and multiple successful exits - giving him a deep understanding of both investor objectives and owner priorities.
Jackson Wert
Jackson Wert has been with True North since May of 2021 and was promoted to the position of Associate in 2025. Jackson holds bachelor's degrees in Economic Consulting and Management, and an MBA with a concentration in Finance, all from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. At True North, Jackson provides an in-depth experience in data and market analysis and partnering with our clients on both buy-side and sell-side engagements.
